摘要

敘說研究是讓自我處於反思和變化之中，不斷建構與重構、學習理解、開展個人生命的過程。研究者在大學裡同時兼具教授學生事務專業領域科目、指導學生事務相關研究、負責學生事務基層行政工作等多重角色。然而在工作場域中，研究者最常被質疑的問題是「學務工作到底在做什麼？」「學生事務是專業嗎？」「學生事務到底能有什麼研究？」是以，研究者整理自身過去十年的教學、行政以及研究經驗，藉由厚實敘寫的方式，理解自己的工作使命。

Narrative research is a process of continuous construction and reconstruction, learning and understanding, and development of personal life through self-reflection. In university, I have played multiple roles in teaching, guiding research, and taking charge of the basic administrative work. However, the most common asked questions in my daily work are ＂What are exactly student affairs?＂ ＂Are student affairs a specialized discipline?＂ ＂What research can we do about student affairs?＂ With-in depth descriptions, this paper presents my teaching, administrative work, and research experiences over the past decade, an attempt at realizing my vocation.
