The Study of Metalwork and Jewelry Products Design Education Integrates with Kansei Design

The purpose of metalwork and jewelry products design education is to teach student creating their works in the way of innovation to make the metalwork and jewelry products design corresponding to the expectation of human nature. This research starts with the analysis of kansei words which are related to the metalwork and jewelry design based on the different aspects of esthetic sensibilities that will provide the information for the innovative design education. In this paper, from the experts' viewpoints, the 5W1H and interpretive structural modeling (ISM) methods are used to find the hierarchy of kansei words of beauty and design routes. Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is used as the guidelines of the research evaluation; grey relational analysis (GRA) is used to analyze and collate the importance and order of kansei words. Those methods can be used to combine the kansei design and the creations of metalwork and jewelry products. Using the index of beauty and the analysis of the levels structure can get the best design road map for creating the products to satisfy the consumer's desire. Both educators and students can master the design elements of jewelry products design. Hence, more products that satisfy consumer's desire are produced.
