高雄市立圖書總館館內開放空間民眾休閒參與現況初探

First Research and Discussion about The Leisure Space Usage of The Kaohsiung Main Public Library and People's Current Participation

摘要

高雄縣市合併後，於2014年啟用的高雄市立新圖書總館，高雄市政府希望可以做為文化新地標，以知識作為城市永續發展的目標，圖書館的傳統功能即包含休閒功能，在民眾日趨重視休閒活動的背景下，本文藉由探討高雄市立圖書總館開放空間供民眾休閒參與之現況，分析並探討民眾於圖書總館開放空間中的的休閒活動內涵，並依使用者對公共圖書館的休閒功能需求與期待五大面向，作為研究及探討的內容與目的，了解高雄市立圖書總館所提供的服務是否符合民眾需求與期待，提供良好的服務，藉以精進不足的地方，創造主管機關、民眾雙贏的局面。經本研究分析結果發現，一、高雄市立圖書總館的休閒功能皆符合五大面向的功能需求與期待，二、民眾於大廳與頂樓所進行的休閒行為皆屬靜態性質，如：散步、聊天、從事親子之樂與互動、拍照、觀賞風景、賞星、用餐等，此外，除官方舉辦的活動外，因圖書館的相關規定，限制了民眾許多可從事的休閒活動，如何在不降低閱讀品質並增加動態性休閒活動為往後可延續進行的研究。

In 2014, the Kaohsiung main public library was established. Kaohsiung city council wished the library to become not only new cultural landmark, but also the goal for sustainability. The library is functioned for a few purposes including for people's leisure. Today people are more concerned about leisure time and space. This article analyzes and discusses about the fact that the space and content that the Kaohsiung main public library provides for the public, as well as that the users' expectations and needs for the library's functions. This is what the article mainly discusses for the purpose of academic research intending to understand whether the services provided by the Kaohsiung main public library is meeting the needs and expectations of the public. And if not meeting the criteria, how is the library going to be improved to make win-win scenario. After the thorough analysis, it is found as the followings: (1) The Kaohsiung main public library has met the criteria of people's needs and expectations. (2) There are numerous of static activities available, for example, people can walk, chat, take photos, see the view, have meals etc on the roof of the library, which is an open garden space. On the other hand, due to the restriction and the nature of the library, people are limited to do more dynamic activities in the building. Therefore, knowing how to develop and improve more dynamic activities for the public, spontaneously not affect or decrease the quality of readings in the library is to be continued for further research.
