摘要

本論は太宰治「令嬢アユ」を通して、戦時中の日本女性をめぐるイメージと身体の問題を考察するものである。まず、テキストで描かれたヒロインの造形に着目して、当時の女性雑誌に多く見られる化粧品広告と、その巻頭のグラビアをもとに、女性のイメージの運用などを分析した。それで、戦時中、中上流階級の女性のイメージが一般女性の模範として消費、利用されていることがわかった。次に、積極的に戦争に協力するヒロインの行動と、その得られた評価を中心に、戦争がもたらした、女性の身体と階級の問題を考察した。結論として、下層の人々が一般人より戦争協力を強いられる可能性があることと、戦争の影響で女性の身体が子を生むのと男性の娯楽用のと二分化されていることをあげられる。

The major objective of this thesis is to study the representation of Japanese female during World War II through DAZAI Osamu's Rizyou Ayu. The conclusions include, first, Japanese royal female were regarded as the role model of general population. Second, labor workers will be more willing to follow government's policies than publics because of social status identification, especially women. Third, because of influence of the war, Japanese female need to provide their bodies for fertility and sex trade.
