This study aims to explore the current situation of health promotion in Shin-Shan Elementary School, Tainan City. In recent years issues of health promotion in this school have gradually been cultivating. Though located in the remote area, the school has always been ranked first-grade in the evaluation of health promotion implementation. Therefore, there is a need for further inquiry. In this research, health promotion strategies in Shin-Shan Elementary School have been summarized through the methods of content analysis and participant observation. Meanwhile, shortcomings and future expectations are also investigated and suggested as well. The study concludes that health promotion strategies in this school are as following: 1. Create a healthy learning environment. 2. The mutual development between teachers and students. 3. Embed health issues into curriculums. 4. Teach by personal examples. 5. Improve facilities and teaching environment actively. 6. Integrate and utilize communal and natural resources.
