Basketball is a high intensity open sports. The athletes are required great speed, power and coordination. To improve the physical capabilities, many training methodology were applied to training. The vibration training (VT) is a new method which is used in many sports in recently years. The purpose of VT is to cause the muscle tonic vibration reflex (TVR) by using vibrational mechanism which might stimulate the central neural system to recruit more muscle fibers and motor units. In previous researches, the VT was not only at the same effects of power and muscle strength with plyometric training, but also more safe to the players. Lately, the outstanding outcomes were revealed at basketball players by VT. The aims of this study are to review the papers in earlier times and introduce the theorem and classify the VT. And hope that the viewpoints of this study could provide as a consultation on training to the coached and player in the future.
