大學生對諮商的迷思-以心輔系學生為例

摘要


諮商是一門助人專業,近十多年來在國內逢勃發展,然而運用諮商服務的民眾還是占極小比例,而一般民眾對於諮商專業仍有許多迷思或是錯誤的觀念,這也是諮商未能普羅化的主要原因,甚至連主修諮商相關科系的大學生都可能對諮商有誤解,因此本研究想要探討臺灣南部諮商相關科系大學生對諮商的迷思有哪些?因此本研究是以相關助人專業科系的大二學生共三十六人為調查對象,取得其同意參與研究之後,研究者從網路討論平台上蒐集相關資料,然後以文件分析方式進行資料分析。研究結果發現大學生族群對於諮商的迷思包含有:(一)對尋求諮商(求助者)的迷思(包括對象與治療時間);(二)對諮商師本身的迷思(包括諮商師特質、訓練、能力、諮商師生涯目標與諮商關係);(三)對諮商過程的迷思(包括諮商只是灌輸想法、聊天或問問題,挖人瘡疤、情緒宣洩、以及對諮商架構的迷思);以及(四)自身對諮商求助的迷思(包括洩密、被諮商師或社會標籤、諮商效果、占用資源與諮商本身)。

Counseling is one of the helping professions. This profession evolves dramatically in Taiwan in the last decade. However, only a small percentage of the public utilize the service. The general public as well as counseling-major students still hold many myths about counseling which results in its underutilization and less popularity. This study is an attempt to investigate counseling-major students' myths about counseling. The 36 participants are sophomores of counseling major from a southern county of Taiwan. The researcher collects the data via teaching internet before proceeding document analysis. The results show that the college students hold myths about counseling including: (1) myths about help-seekers' (clients') (such as who is the client and treatment time); (2) myths about counselors (such as counselors' characteristics, training, capabilities, career-goals, and therapeutic relations); (3) myths about counseling process (such as thoughts-instillation, gossip, questioning, wound-digging, catharsis, and counseling structure); and (4)myths about one's help-seeking behavior (such as confidentiality-breaching, labeling, counseling effectiveness, resource usage, and counseling itself).
