灣生畫家立石鐵臣繪畫中的「臺灣情」(1945—1950)

Wansei Artist's Feelings about Taiwan Focused on Tateishi Tetsuomi's Paintings between 1945 to 1950

摘要


日治時期,出生於臺北的藝術家立石鐵臣(1905-1980),於1930至1940年代活躍於臺灣畫壇和文壇的「灣生」日本人;他是一位多才多藝的創作者,擅長油畫、版畫、細密畫和畫冊製作,一生熱愛臺灣風土,早期在臺灣的創作都顯現出他對於臺灣景物的關懷。然而,在日本戰敗後,當大部分的日人都被迫遣返回日本之際,立石鐵臣則因爲臺灣大學的留用,而有機會在臺灣多停留兩年。日本戰敗和一年的兵役經驗,是造成立石鐵臣的繪畫風格產生巨變的主要原因之一,整體的畫風不再是戰前的風光明媚,取而代之的是超現實風格的孤寂。特別是1945年至1950年的油畫作品,由於風格轉變的十分明顯,因此引發筆者想要研究立石鐵臣風格驟變的原因。

In the Japanese Colonization Era, the Japanese artist Tateishi Tetsuomi (1905-1980) was born in Taipei, and he also was honored as Wansei. He was really active in Taiwanese art field and the literary world from the 1930s to 1940s. Tateishi Tetsuomi was a talented creator who was an expert on can use so many art mediums such as oil painting, pictures printed from a woodblock, miniature and painting albums. His early artworks always showed Taiwanese sceneries. It shows his love of Taiwan's sceneries through his artwork. Viewers can tell how much he loved Taiwan from his artwork. However, while most of Japanese were repatriated back to Japan after Japan's defeat. Tateishi Tetsuomi was employed by National Taiwan University, so he did not need to back to Japan immediately. After he stayed two more years in Taiwan, he was repatriated back to Japan, because the society was in turmoil and politics drifted. Japan lost WWII and one year experience of army affected Tateishi Tetsuomi's art style. His art style was Taiwanese landscape painting, and his art style became to Surrealism style after the war finished. Especially, from 1945 to 1950 his oil painting style has a huge transformation which appeals to people to figure out the reason.
