中老年人參與太極拳之參與動機、身心健康及生活滿意度之研究

A Study of the Relationships among Motivation, Physical and Mental Health and Life Satisfaction for Middle-aged and Elderly Tai-Chi Chuan Participants

摘要


本研究的目的主要是了解中老年人參與太極拳之參與動機、身心健康及生活滿意度。以居住在桃園市年齡45 歲以上,有參與太極拳之中老年人為研究對象。採取立意抽樣進行問卷調查,共發出450 份問卷,剔除無效問卷48 份,實得有效問卷402 份,有效率為89.33%。利用結構方程模式(SEM)進行分析,根據研究結果可得下列結果﹕一、中老年人參與太極拳之參與動機會正向影響身心健康。二、中老年人參與太極拳之身心健康會正向影響其生活滿意度。三、中老年人參與太極拳之參與動機會正向影響其生活滿意度。結論:中老年人參與太極拳,因持續的運動得以維持身體健康,與人際互動佳,能放鬆心情並提升自我滿足感,進而促進身心健康,對生活抱持樂觀、積極的態度,則生活滿意度較佳。鼓勵中老年人參與運動,能減緩人口老化衍生的健康問題,提升個人未來的生活品質。

The purpose of this study was to understand the relationships among motivation, physical and mental health and life satisfaction for middle-aged and elderly tai-chi chuan participants. The subjects were middle-aged and elderly above 45 years old who participated tai-chi chuan in Taoyuan City. 450 qusestionnaires were distributed by purposive sampling. 402 questionnaires had returned and 48 were invalid. The valid returning rate was 89.33%. The results indicated: 1. Motivation of the middle-aged and elderly participated tai-chi chuan had positive effect on physical and mental health. 2. Physical and mental health of the middle-aged and elderly participated tai-chi chuan had positive effect on life satisfaction. 3. Motivation of the middle-aged and elderly participated tai-chi chuan had positive effect on life satisfaction. In conclusion, the middle-aged and elderly participated tai-chi chuan could maintain good health, relieving stress and increase interpersonal relationships and self-satisfaction. Therefore, people with physical and mental health would have positive attitude toward life, as well as better life satisfaction. Encouraging middle-aged and elderly to participate sport activities could reduce healthy problems caused by aging and improve personal life quality in the future.
