The purpose of this research is to explore the influence of leisure attitude and leisure motivation on leisure satisfaction of university students. With the day students of Tainan area universities as subjects, and using survey instruments for data collection, 1,600 surveys were distributed and 1,315 valid surveys were returned for a rate of 82.6%. The returned data was analyzed by multiple stepwise regression analysis. The results showed that only the cognitive independent variable is excluded from the regression model. The other independent variables, competence-mastery, affective, social, stimulus-avoidance, behavioral, and intellectual, ordered in descending strengths, were effective predictors of leisure satisfaction and were selected into the regression model. In the regression model, the multiple correlation coefficient of these six independent variables and leisure satisfaction was 0.826. The variability in these six independent variables accounted for 68.2% of the variability in leisure satisfaction, and therefore showed significant influence on leisure satisfaction. Among them, the competence-mastery had the largest influence on leisure satisfaction, and its standardized coefficient of regression was .276.
