This study investigates different writing approaches, named ”Traditional Writing” and ”New-style Writing,” on students' learning effectiveness and motivation of practical writing courses at a University of Technology. The results have shown that there are no statistically significant effects on these two writing approaches; however, New-style Writing is more likely to enhance the students' motivation to learn.
