實體視圖中雙眼圖像距離對裸眼立體視之影響

The Effects of Image Disparity Distance between Eyes in Stereogram

摘要


在過去研究人員與科學家的探索下,得知人類可藉由雙眼提示、單眼提示、運動視差等方式得到「深度提示」,而這些技巧也經常被設計師或視覺藝藝術家運用,藉此讓觀者藉由二度空間的影像感受到三度空間的錯覺(illusion of depth)。近年來廣被平面設計師應用的實體視圖,例如Magic Eye 3D或R.D.S.圖形,就是一種利用雙眼視差造成裸眼立體錯覺的運用。我們觀察到雖然多數人可以清晰地感受到實體視圖的立體錯覺,但也有部份人無法察覺到這種立體感受。為了解造成這種裸眼立體感受差異的因素,並為將來在設計上運用提出直接、有效之建議。本研究將針對實體視圖中雙眼圖像距離對於人類立體視感受的影響進行探討。本研究主要是利用實驗設計的方法,藉由讓受測者使用立體圖的觀看方法來進行不同的左、右眼成像距離測量,並對其結果進行紀錄與分析。經由本校視傳系三十位受測者的實驗結果分析發現:(一)大多數受測者能強迫視覺焦點改變所造成的兩眼「影像位移」來達成兩眼影像的融合;(二)利用實體視圖(stereogram)原理造成裸眼立體錯覺時,左眼圖與右眼圖的視覺固定點(fixation point)之間最適當的距離是介於2~4cm內;(三)左眼圖像與右眼圖像本質上的差異會造成圖像無法融合,並干擾「影像位移」之判斷;(四)可融合圖形可增強受測者「影像位移」的能力。

Beyond the exploring to binocular cue, monocular cue, and motion parallax, researcher and scientist obtained the knowledge on ”depth cue” in the past that provide designer or visual artist to manipulate the illusion of three-dimensional depth into their art works by using two-dimensional images. Through many applications on stereogram, designers chose for their artworks such as Magic Eye 3D or R.D.S. picture which make use of binocular disparity illusion. The test reveals that most of the subjects clearly perceived the illusion from stereogram but some others did not. For the comprehension of the factor in perception differences and for the providing of effective propose for design purpose, this study probe into three- dimensional reception by testing the image distance between two eyes. The method mainly depended on experiment design in order to test the testee with the viewing of different distances in picture images between their two eyes through stereogram picture, then record and analysis its results. The analysis took from thirty testing subjects who studying in department of visual communication design in National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. The results are as followings: First, most of the testee enables to fix their focus through constantly change distance between two retinal images. Second, thro ugh the use of stereogram to bring about 3-D illusion with naked eyes, the most comfortable fixation of retinal images distance between eyes is among 2~4cm. Third, the nature of image difference between left and right will cause the difficulty during image fixation and also interfere the judgment of retinal image displacement. Fourth, the fixable picture may enforce the image displacement to the testee
