老人社會工作人員專業能力建構之探究

An Exploration on Constructing Professional Competencies for Geriatric Social Workers

摘要


自「我國長期照顧十年計畫」推動以來,老人社會工作專業人力質量不足的議題日益受到重視,老人社會工作者應具備的專業能力已隨著老人福利政策與長期照顧政策推動有不同發展,重新架構老人社會工作人力與專業能力有其必要性。本研究運用質性研究4場焦點團體與3場個別訪談蒐集資料,共26位服務於長期照顧機構與社區服務組織的老人社會工作人員與管理者參與,男性5人,女性21人,年齡24-52歲,老人社會工作年資9-165個月。運用Colaizzi建議的質性資料分析方法,從訪談資料中歸納出資訊與意義。研究結果顯示老人社會工作人力與專業能力的建構可藉由四個面向來探討:老人社會工作者執行的角色、老人社會工作能力期待、老人社會工作職場困境與壓力、對老人社會工作教育的期待。研究者提出三點結論與建議:老人社會工作者應具備專業能力以回應實務工作要求、建構完整老人社會工作專業教育訓練與評核制度、老人社會工作能力相關研究仍須持續發展。

Since the implementation of ”ten-year plan for long-term care”, insufficient quality and quantity of geriatric social workers is emphasized. Professional competencies for geriatric social workers changed after the promotion of elderly welfare and long-term care policies. This study conducted 4 focus groups and 3 individual interviews to collect data. A total of 26 social workers and managers, 5 male and 21 female, age 24 to 52, working experience 9 to 165 months, from long-term care institutes and community service organizations participated in this study. Colaizzi's data analysis method was used to extract information and meaning from the words. Four themes emerged to construct professional competencies for geriatric social workers: the roles of geriatric social workers conduct, expectation of professional competencies for geriatric social workers, the difficulties and pressure of geriatric social workers in the workplace, and expectations of gerontological social work education. The researcher made three findings and recommendations: geriatric social workers should have the expertise to respond to work requirements, build a comprehensive system of gerontological social work education, training, and evaluation, and continue to development related researches.
