運用資料包絡分析法（DEA）評估職棒兄弟象隊野手球員績效表現
The Data Envelopment Analysis (Dea) Application of Efficiency Assessment for Fielders of Brother Elephants Professional Baseball Team
摘要
自1978年Charn的、Cooper和別Rhodes發表資料包絡分析法（DEA）以來，受到許多學者應用到非管利事業單位經營績效之研究上。此法在相對效率評估方面，為深具實用價值之分析工具，因為DEA其有多項投入產出及數學規劃模式求出實證的生產效率前緣特性。然而運用此法在運動領域方面卻非常有限，特別是職業棒球，其創造出之經濟效益極為可觀，故若能確切創造出受認同的評估績效，實深具研究價值，此正為本研究之主要目的；同時往後亦可嘗試將此法運用在其他運動相關領域的績效評估上。本研究運用DEA方法評估各球員之相對效率，針對中華職棒大聯盟兄弟象隊野手球員的三個投入項及八個產出項，在2002與2003年之成績作為球員的效率分析要素，以求出野手球員的相對效率、過量投入、不足產出及投入產出之期望值等；並由此找出每位野手球員相對效率差異原因，讓球團管理者及教練作為比較及改善之用。根據研究結果，以彭政間每年均具相對效率，符合其調薪幅度，具相對效率的球員薪資亦相對提高，可證明本模式實具績效評估之功能。

Data Envelopment Analysis developed by Charnes, Coopers and Rhodes since 1978 is a valuable tool to assess relative efficiency and has been widely used by researchers in non-commercial areas to obtain empirical data on production frontiers through mathematical modeling with multiple inputs and outputs. However, there are infrequent researches dedicating to sports area until now, especially for the rising economic importance and influence of professional baseball industry. The main purpose of the study also definitely meaningful and valuable to create recognized assessment standard for progressing the development for the popular baseball sports in Taiwan. Meanwhile, It's significant to apply DEA in relative sports area. This study used the DEA software program selected three inputs and eight outputs for fielders, respectively recording the 2002 and 2003 season' records among these parameters to evaluate the relative efficiency, input excess, output slack and expected value for each fielder of Brother Elephants p:ofessional baseball team. Managers and coaches could also subsequently use this data to evaluate discrepancies in promoting efficiency. This study demonstrated the applicability of DEA modeling for various performance assessments. A good example of the positive correlation found relative efficiency of player Pang (No. 23) against his respective salary.
