多媒體學習理論應用於體育教學之探討:以互動式羽球單打教學系統為例

The Application of Multimedia Learning Theory in Physical Education: An Example from Interactive Badminton Single Learning System

摘要


隨著資訊科技的進步,資訊科技融入教學已是目前教育界共同的趨勢。運動在體育的重要性,不只是促進個體生長發展,也兼具心理、生理與社會等層面的功效。運動技能的學習需要透過觀察、模仿、練習三個步驟,而羽球運動也不例外。羽球對一般人而言是種易學難精的運動。教練短時間指導,很難給學生留下深刻的印象,而教練教學時間過短也使得學生難以掌握動作的要領。然而電腦多媒體環境日趨成熟,藉由多媒體可使影片、文字、語音、3D動畫、聲音等與視覺訊息同時呈現的特性,強化學習者在學習過程中所需要的觀察與記憶,學習者可透過不同視角、播放速度快慢與靜止等功能進行動作細節的觀察與理解。本文以學者Richard Mayer所提出的多媒體學習認知架構觀點為基礎,根據其多媒體設計原則中,減少學習者在學習過程中的認知負荷以獲得更有效率的學習的觀點,本研究以美國Autodesk公司所開發之3ds Max作為三維人體模型建立之工具,並以荷蘭Act-3D公司所開發之Quest3D作為展示平台,設計出互動式羽球單打教學系統雛型。期望透過此研究可作為應用多媒體學習理論在體育教學之參考,並針對其中之細節提出適當的建議。

Information technology had been widely used not only in science but also in our daily life. Such technology had also been integrated in teaching and learning. Such application can also be applied in physical education. Like most exercises, badminton learners learn badminton through observation, imitation and practices. Badminton is easy to learn but difficult to be skillful. But coaches' short instruction is insufficient for learners to comprehend skills within. Multimedia, getting popular with the progress of information technology, had been widely used in educational technology. Three-dimensional animation, kind of multimedia, can help learners repeating their own inspection in different visual angles and learning paces. Visual and auditorial messages can also be integrated in three-dimensional multimedia learning materials. In this research, we applied Richard Mayer's seven principles in designing learning materials. According to these principles, we had designed a prototype of multimedia learning system for badminton. In this system, we used 3ds Max (developed by Autodesk) to build three-dimensional human model and scenes, used Quest3D (developed by Act-3D) for presentation. This system can demonstrate details in basic skills in badminton single. Learners can insect motion details of badminton serving in different views. According to Richard Mayer's principles, this system can give learners proper and sufficient information so learners can comprehend badminton motions. We hoped this research can be an application between multimedia learning and physical education and propose some details which should be noticed during designing multimedia materials for physical education.
