Estimate of the Genetic Distance between Talbotia naganum karumii, Pieris canidia canidia and Pieris rapae crucivora

摘要

本研究使用同功酵素探討臺灣地區現有之輕海紋白蝶、臺灣紋白蝶、日本紋白蝶之種間分化，估算其遺傳距離，藉以提供分類上的另一依據。由F-統計分析顯示，種間之遺傳分化程度非常高（FST=0.835），可確信這三種紋白蝶為分化完全的物種。在遺傳距離方面，最接近的兩個種是臺灣紋白蝶與日本紋白蝶，其遺傳距離為0.23～0.30之間，依次為輕海紋白蝶與日本紋白蝶之間（0.55～0.60），輕海紋白蝶與臺灣紋白蝶之間（0.60～0.63）。而從屬的階層來看，Talbotia屬與Pieris屬之間有頗高之遺傳相似度（I=0.547）。本實驗所獲得的同功酵素分析結果大致符合原來的分類學處理。

Genetic relationships between Talbotia naganum karumii, Pieris canidia conidia and Pieris rapae crucivora in Taiwan were determined by isozyme electrophoresis analysis. The results of the F-statistics show that the genetic variation between these species is quite high (FST=0.835). Meanwhile, the genetic distance between Talbotia naganum karumii and Pieris canidia canidia is 0.606~0.630; that between Talbotia naganum karumii and Pieris rapae crucivora is 0.568~0.586, and that between Pieris canidia conidia and Pieris rapae crucivora is 0.238~0.291. Therefore, the genetic differentiation between these three species is very high so there is no doubt all these three species are well-differentiated. Besides, genus Talbotia is proven to be closely related to the genus Peiris (I=0.547). Our result corresponded well to the taxonomic treatment and tends to support the view of combinding the two genera into the same genus.
