從李臨秋的歌謠談舊曲新唱的詩樂藝術

On the Poetic Music of New Interpretation of Old Songs Through Analysis of Li Lin-Qiu's Songs

摘要


一九三○年代為台灣史上台語歌謠蓬勃發展的時期。李臨秋的台語歌詞創作經今人整理有近二百首之多,分別於戰前和戰後發表歌詞作品,他曾自稱他的作品為「七分俗,三分雅」,其內容涵括吟詠當時描寫愛情的苦澀,婚姻的不美滿,吟詠青春的美好,表現對人生的感慨,陳述離別的無奈,生活的剪影,對人物形象的描繪,闡述懷舊的情感等題材,頗具有反映當時的時代意義。其歌曲則由鄧雨賢、王雲峰、蘇桐、姚讚福、廖欽崧、王塗生等人創作,或少數採以新詞舊調的方式演唱,或作為電影配詞與樂。本文擬探討其詞作與樂曲的編配情形、歌手的詮釋,及詩樂流傳的情況,以說明李臨秋一九三○年代之後的歌詞創作與詩樂編曲的藝術。

The 1930s was an era in Taiwanese history in which there was rapid development of Taiwanese-language songs. Li Lin-qiu’s Taiwanese lyrics have been organized and there are nearly two hundred songs, which were released before and after the war. He once commented that his works were "seventy percent vulgar, thirty percent elegant." The content of his works described the bitterness of love, marital problems, the beauty of youth, his weariness toward life, helplessness of separation, vignettes of life, images of characters, and nostalgia. These topics can reflect the meaning of the times. The melodies were written by Deng Yu-xian, Wang Yun-feng, Su Tong, Yao Zhan-fu, Liao Qin-song, Wang Tu-sheng, and others. Some of the songs were sung when new lyrics were attached to old melodies, or were used in film music. This paper seeks to explore the situation of lyrical works arranged with music, interpretation of singers, and the dissemination of poetic music, in order to explain the art of lyrical creation and poetic music by Li Lin-qiu after the 1930s.
