Patterns of Supply Chain Management Systems Use and Competitive Performance-Contingent Role of Relationship with Partners and Environmental Dynamism

This paper explores the contingent effects of relationship with partners and environmental dynamism on the relationship between supply chain management system (SCMS) use patterns and firm competitive performance. According to relevant theories, it is argued that different SCMS use patterns affects competitive performance based on different underlying mechanisms. Further, such influence is contiguent on the focal firm's relationship with partners and environmental dynamism. A theoretical framework is proposed. Theoretical as well as practical implications are discussed.
