學齡前幼兒可以學英語?學得早不如學得好來得重要

學前的小朋友們學英語,老師和家長常常迷失在越早越好的想法中,與其學得早,不如用對方法,讓小孩子們在故事的趣味性和邏輯性中學習英語。目前幼兒以融入式教學為主,老師適時融入生活美語,小朋友不但學習了外語,也學習了知識。家長害怕幼兒失去學習英語最佳時機,語言關鍵期,趕著提早學,但錯誤的方法可能讓孩子提早討厭英語。重點仍是自己的母語,只有母語好,外語才會好。

Teachers and parents often hold a misconception: the earlier, the better, for teaching preschoolers English. However, the suitable methods are the most factor for learning English well. Young children can learn English through storytelling which is full of interests and logics. Nowadays, young children learn English in an integrated way. Teachers integrate English in time to help preschoolers learn English. Thus, preschoolers can learn English as a foreign language and content knowledge. Teachers and parents are afraid to miss the critical period of languages, so they believe the notion: the earlier the better. However, it is worse if the earlier learnings with wrong methods could turn out to be a fact that the children hate English earlier. Native languages are more important than second or foreign languages because native languages are the foundation of second or foreign languages.
