創業者人格特質對創業績效影響之研究:關係網絡之中介效果

The Effects of the Personalities of Entrepreneurs on Entrepreneurial Performance: The Mediating Effect of Guanxi Network

摘要


近年來創業無論在學術或實務界皆受相當重視,而創業者是否具有某些與創業有關的人格特質?此特質如何影響關係網路的建構進而影響創業績效為本研究重點,研究顯示人格大五模型中之五種人格特質對創業績效及關係網絡皆有顯著影響。人格特質中之外向性、情緒穩定性、親和性、勤勉正直與經驗開放性會透過與人建立之情感性關係影響創業績效;這五者同時亦會透過與人建立之工具性關係影響創業績效。因此本研究建議有志創業者在創業前應先檢視自己的人格特質是否合適創業,而政府及輔導單位在推動創業輔導時,應與學術單位進行產學合作發展適合華人使用之創業適性評量及協助創業者建構聯誼之商機交流平台以供創業者運用。

Entrepreneurship attaches great importance to both academic and practical fields recently, and there are some debated whether these successful entrepreneurs have some personalities related with entrepreneurship in common. Past studies show that both the personalities of the entrepreneurs and Guanxi network have positive effect on entrepreneurial performance. This research aims to find out how the personalities of the entrepreneurs affect the establishment of Guanxi network. Further, we evaluate the personalities of entrepreneurs and Guanxi network on entrepreneurial performance simultaneously. The results of this research show that all five major dimensions of personality significantly influence entrepreneurial performance and Guanxi network. In addition, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, and Emotional Stability will influence entrepreneurial performance mediating by the establishment of expressive tie and instrumental tie. We suggest that people who have entrepreneurship willingness should evaluate their personality before starting a new business. Besides, government and the entrepreneurial counseling institutions shall work together with the academic research centers to develop the entrepreneurship personality test which is suitable for Chinese society. Furthermore, government and the entrepreneurial counseling institutions should provide a platform for entrepreneurs to exchange business information and enhance their social and interpersonal networks.
