摘要

敘說探究法是甚麼？有何特殊處？可以帶領我們再深化創業現象的理解與研究。這是本文的主要提問與核心關懷。簡單地來說，敘說探究法就是將故事表達本身視作研究問題來加以剖析，從敘說者如何捕捉、呈現與解釋經驗的角度來研究與理解，敘說者的世界觀與所處狀態。這個研究取徑主要緣自於80年代以來，社會科學中的敘說轉向，揭櫫了循著「語言」與「意義建構」的探識途徑。從此，開啟了創業領域中的敘說探究，通過探究創業者自身意識化與意義編造歷程，研究者得以深入創業經驗、得以觀看沉潛於創業發展歷程中的意喻，寓身於創業生活的行動思維，於是研究得以深入創業現象的深層結構，進行探勘，發掘潛藏於創業者敘說中的意涵。本文以「是何」、「如何」與「那又如何」的邏輯來鋪敘，首先以一個研究示例簡要地介紹敘說探究法在創業領域中的獨特性；接著回顧與詳述敘說探究方法；然後提供我們過去運用此一方法的研究經歷作為讀者操作化的參考筆記，最後總結說明此方法在創業研究中的貢獻。

What is the narrative inquiry? What the distinguish characters does it have for deepening our understanding on entrepreneurship? These are the core concerns in this essay. Generally speaking, the narrative inquiry is the study focus on the story telling. The rational of narrative inquiry employs the literacy as well as social constructivism by which led to ＂narrative turn＂ on Sociology from the 1980s' in the academia. Studying on not only the told but also the telling itself provides a knowing conduit for the research. By the integrative analysis of told and telling illuminates the closer observing on how entrepreneurs intertwine and involve their surroundings to the livings in-house which leads to the more solid comprehension with how entrepreneurs think and act along their entrepreneurial endeavors. In this doings broaden our research lens and bring in more meaning insights, furthermore it has brought about the new era on studying the entrepreneurship. The reasoning goes along with ＂what＂, ＂how＂ and ＂so what＂ beneath the surface in this essay, and presented as follows: Firstly, one research case is presented for the essential illustration. Elaboration on narrative inquiry followed as the second part of the body. Further, the real case which employed narrative inquiry is presented from our past experiences. It encompasses elaborated operations as well as step by step demonstrations by which could contribute to the future followers. The major contributions on narrative inquiry are discussed in the final part.
