中高齡參與社區服務學習動機及改變歷程之初探─以高雄市為例

A Study on the Motivation and Change Process of Middle-aged People Participating in Community Service Learning: A Case of Kaohsiung City

摘要


本研究的目的是探討中高齡者參與社區服務學習動機,持續參與因素、參與歷程遭遇的困境,以及參與歷程獲得到的成長與轉變。為釐清本研究的核心概念,研究者以質性研究作為研究方法,以高雄市6位參與社區服務超過兩年且年滿50歲的中高齡者為研究對象,採一對一半結構式訪談進行蒐集資料。研究結果顯示:1.中高齡者參與社區服務學習原因,涵蓋利己、利他、社會與情境等四大動機;2.持續參與社區服務學習的動力,在於個人責任、家人支持與人際關係等因素;3.中高齡者進行社區服務學習時,曾遭遇時間調配、家庭與人際等困境;4.中高齡者參與社區服務學習帶來的成長與轉變,包含得到新的角色與生活態度、結識許多社區好友、身心更健康等層面。最後,希冀本研究能提供推動中高齡參與社區服務學習及人力資源再運用之政策參考。

The purpose of this study was to explore the participation of middle-aged in community service learning motivation, continuous participation factors, the plight of participation process, and the growth and transformation of participation process. In order to clarify the core concepts of the study, the researchers used qualitative research as the research method. A total of six middle-aged people who have participated in community service in Kaohsiung for over two years and aged 50 years were enrolled in this study. A half structured interview was conducted to collect data. The results show that (1) middle aged people participate in community service learning, including four main motivations self-interest, altruism, social and situational. (2) The motivation to continue to participate in community service learning lies in personal responsibility, family support and interpersonal relationships. (3) In the process of community service learning, middle-aged people have encountered difficulties such as time allocation, family and interpersonal problems. (4) The middle-aged people in community service learning growth and change, including the role and attitude to life, get new friends with the community, physical and mental health. Finally, it is hoped that this study can provide policy references for promoting middle aged people participation in community service learning and human resource reuse.
