芳香酸之氧化反應

Studies on Oxidation of Aromatic Acids

摘要


以苯甲酸為原料,銅鹽(cupric benzoate)為觸媒,進行連續式液相空氣氧化,產生苯酚及CO_2的反應,加以探討。故以選擇反應溫度、促進劑用量、觸媒濃度、空氣流速及水蒸氣流量為重要因素,按照統計實驗法的步驟,求出這些因素對苯酚及副反應生成焦油(tar)的關係。然後用廻歸分析法分析實驗結果,並在計算預測最佳反應條件。所得結果如不:(1)由廻歸分析結果所示,各因素及其相互作用,對主反應及副作用的影響,可以數據明顯表明之(2)最佳反應條件預測結果,為反應溫度242℃,促進劑用量0.085分子百分比(mole fraction),觸媒濃度0.052分子百分比,空氣流速1.5 l/min、水蒸氣流量1.0 g/min之條件下,可得苯酚產量0.7722 mole/hr,及焦油生成1.36重量%,(3)預測最佳反應條件,再經實驗後求出之實驗值為苯酚產量0.7708 mole/hr,焦油生成為1.16重量%。以上結果顯示,實驗值與預測值頗為符合。不僅證明計算預測結果的正確性,而且從理論產率90%提高至95%以上。

Benzoic acid is oxidized with air to phenol by a liquid-phase semi- continuous process, employing cupric benzoate as a catalyst. The effects of react ion temperature, amounts of catalyst and promoter, and flow rates of air and steam are studied. The experimental result s are analyzed by regression analysis method and used to predict the optimum reaction conditions. The following are the conclusions. 1. The optimum reaction conditions predicted by regression analysis method are: a. The reaction temperature will be 242℃. b. The mole fraction of catalyst and promoter in the feed liquid will be 0.052 and 0.0855, respectively. c. The flow rates' of air and steam will be 1.5 l/min and 1.0 g/min, respectively. d. The production rates of phenol and tar will be 0.7722 mole/hr and 1.36 wt% of reactor liquid, respectively. 2. The above predicted values have been proved by experiments, in which production rates of phenol and tar are found as 0.7708 mole/hr and 1.16 wt% of reactor liquid, respectively, quite close to the predicted values. 3. The regression analysis method has been proved as a very keen tool which incidentally succeeds to indicate the way to improve the 90% yield of preliminary experiments to 95% yield of final try-outs.
