本篇報告十六種碳(6)-碳(1) 酚醛的縮胺脲及硫代縮胺脲衍生物,各別在水溶液中與鉻(Cr^(+++)),錳(Mn^(++)),鐵(Fe^(+++)),鈷(Co^(+++)),鎳(Ni^(++)),銅(Cu^(++)),鋅(Zn^(++))等過渡金屬離子作用時產生的顏色變化(顯色反應)及各衍生物紫外線吸收極大的遷移變化。
Color reactions of sixteen semicarbazone and thiosemicarbazone derivatives, eight each, of phenolic aldehydes with Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(III),Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) ions were reported. Hydroxylation (and methoxylation) patterns on phenyl ring studied included 2-(HO)-, 4-(HO)-, 2-(HO)-3-(MeO)-, 2, 4-(HO)_2-, 2, 5-(HO)_2-, 3-(HO)-4-(MeO)-, 3-(MeO)-4-(HO)-, 3, 4-(HO)_2-, and 3-(HOOC)-4-(HO)- substituents. Comparison of ultraviolet absorption spectra recorded separately from each of these semicarbazone derivatives with and without the presence of each of these transition clement ions revealed that complex formation between metal ions and both types of semicarbazones were most likely to take place with original phenolic aldehydes possesing free hydroxy group on 2-position. In thiosemicarbazone derivatives, where complex formation involving participation of the -NH-CS-NH_2 group, Cu(II) ion appeared to be most extraordinary.
