毛筆尖電噴灑質譜法的開發與應用

Development and Application of a Brush-Spray/Mass Spectrometry by a Writing Brush

摘要


本研究基於紙片電噴灑之相似原理,成功開發了毛筆尖電噴灑質譜法。利用這方法,分析樣品可以用毛筆採集後,配合質譜儀進行離子的偵測。連接毛筆的溶劑卡匣是以ABS樹脂為材料,用3D列印機列印而成的。卡匣內有溶劑可以使筆毛保持濕潤,不僅可以進行非破壞性樣品採集,當卡匣另一端接上高壓電源時,還可以直接進行離子化。實驗結果發現,以大滅松為測試樣品,偵測極限可達0.1 ppm。由於毛筆柔軟且具有吸水性,即使是蔬菜表面上殘留農藥大滅松也可以成功採集並且偵測到。本文將介紹毛筆尖電噴灑質譜法的應用,毛筆溶劑卡匣的製作方法、筆毛種類的偵測結果的影響、及最佳化實驗條件等也一併報告。

Using a small writing brush and analogous to paper-spray mass spectrometry, the analytes can be collected, evaporated and then ionized. ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) was used as the starting material and the body of the solvent-cartridge was produced by means of a commercial 3D-printer. The writing brush was embedded inside a 3D-printed cartridge, in which a solvent was supplied to rinse the brush. The writing brush-cartridge is disposable and it has various functions, including non-invasive sampling, sample-evaporation and ionization. As a result, when a type of pesticide was selected as the test sample (dimethoate; C5H12NO3PS2), the limit of detection was determined to be 0.1 ppm. Collecting the pesticide from a leaf-surface (lettuce) was also successful. The process for fabricating the writing brush-cartridge and the optimized experimental conditions are reported herein.
