Research on Bamboo Construction Process Based on ＂Design-Build＂ Integration

摘要

In traditional teaching of design, ＂design＂ and ＂construction＂ are separated with different emphases, methods and steps. They have an obvious serial relationship in specific operation. And the separation between design and construction leads to students' lack of overall consciousness and integrated thinking in the learning process. During the teaching of construction, students participate in the whole process from scheme designing to construction drawing and then to field construction, gaining a deep understanding of real scale, the characteristics of materials and construction methods. With project implementation as the core goal, the teaching of construction is more conducive to the combination of theory and the practice, so that students can understand the differences and connections between drawings and material objects. This article takes the works of the three ＂BFU International Garden-making Festival＂ as an example to analyze the whole design-build process from conceptual design, space strategy, and node details. ＂The Wind Nest＂, one of the winners of the construction award of the second BFU International Garden-making Festival, is taken as an example to preliminarily explore the mode of ＂design-build＂ integration in the process of construction and establish the collaborative system of design and construction.
