摘要

一生具有傳奇色彩的鍾理和，在日據時代的作家群中，是一位擁有日本、台灣、中國等特殊經驗的作家，在日本統治之下生於客籍台灣家庭，又因婚姻受阻攜妻遠赴中國東北、北平等地。一生以當作家為志業，卻貧病以終，直到七○年代台灣鄉土文學運動逐漸開展，擅寫農民生活的鍾理和才受到重視，否則終將溼沒於五○年代以反共、懷鄉為主流的文壇中，本文即根據鍾理和遺留之作品、日記、書簡等，爬梳整理出他對小說寫作的觀點，歸納出五大要項：一、主張風格要自然率性二、主張內容要有歐迪讀者的功能三、反對全然以方言作為書寫語言四、主張小說要反映真實生活五、主張嚴謹的小說寫作態度生不逢時的鍾理和雖在生前飽嚐退稿之苦，然其為理想堅持一生的精神，值得後人效法，其文學主張更深具時代意義與價值。

A man with a life of legendary, Zhong Li Ho is the only one who affected by the literature of Japan, China and Taiwan among so many writers during Japanese era in Taiwan from 1895-1945. He is born as a Hakka in Taiwan when Taiwan was ruled by Japan. In a result of the rejection of his marriage by his family, he went to the northern-east of China and Beij ing with his wife , and making up his mind to become a writer as his career. The influence of this decision had changed his life until he passed away. However, this decision didn't make his life better, he ever became sick and poor in his old age. Unfortunately, the articles describe the culture of farmers written by Zhong Li Ho was known how important it is by the people until the Local Literature activity occurred in 1980s. Otherwise he might be forgot under the trend of anti-communist and homesickness in 1970s. This essay is talking about Zhong Li Ho's view of literature on the basis of the articles, diary and some letters left by Zhong Li Ho. Also, this paper generalize five key points of his view: 1. the writing style must be natural and direct. 2. the article should inspire the readers. 3. he refused to use dialect as main language in his article. 4. the novel must reflect real life. 5. the attitude toward writing novel must be rigorous. Generally speaking, Zhong had a very arduous time during his life. Except for his Horrible disease, his articles also had been rejected many times. However, he didn't give up and just keep dedicating his life to his ideal insist. Without any doubt, this kind of attitude worth the posterity to follow, and so does his position of literature which is provided with value and meanings of this era.
