五年制護專畢業生護理師執照考與學業成就相關性之初步探討

A CORRELATION STUDY OF RN-LICENSE EXAMINATION AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT FOR JUNIOR NURSING STUDENT OF 5-YEAR PROGRAM

摘要


本研究旨在探討護專學生護理師執照考成績與學業成就之相關性。以中部某護專民國八十四年五專應屆畢業生參加護理師執照考者408人為樣本。以事後回溯性方式(ex post facto),取得在校五年內有關執照考之相關科目學業成績、臨床實習成績、及模擬考成績等為預測變項,以護理師執照考成績為被預測變項,進行相關分析(correlation analysis)、卡方檢定(chi-square)、逐步迴歸分析(stepwise regression analysis)。研究結果發現:(一)精神公衛護理、產兒科護理、基礎醫學、內外科護理共可解釋37%之變異性。複迴歸係數為.61。(二)在校各學科成績(精神公衛護理、產見科護理、基礎醫學、內外科護理、護理學及護理技術),臨床實習成績(基本護理實習、內外科護理實習)與執照考之相關均達顯著相關;與精神公衛護理實習、產兒科護理實習成績未連顯著相關。(三)學業成績較高者則其執照考成績較高。(四)模擬考成績較高的護生其護理師執照考的成績較高。(五)學業成績及模擬考成績具有預測護理師執照考成績的能力。

This ex post facto correlation design was used to test the relationship of academic achievement and RN-License Examination for junior nursing students. The samples of 408, who graduated and participated the RN-License Examination in July, 1995. Data was obtained from their scores of academic achievement in the program of fundamental medicine , basic nursing, psy-pub nursing, obs-ped nursing, medical-surgical nursing, clinical practicum, and RN-License Examination review as predictors in predicting their scores in RN-License Examination. The Pearson correlation, chi-square, and stepwise multiple regression were used to analyzed data. The study found that (1)The academic achievement in psy/pub nursing, obs/ped nursing, fundamental medicine, and med/surg nursing can explain the rariance of 37% with the regression of .61. (2)The academic achievement in psy/pub nursing, obs/ped nursing, fundamental medicine, and med/surg nursing, basic nursing had statistically positive correlation with RN-License Examination, also the clinical practicum in basic nursing and medical-surgical nursing. Whereas the scores in psy/pub and obs/ped practicum did not have significant relationship with RN-License Examination. (3)The students who had higher academic achievement scores tend to have higher RN-License Examination score. (4)Nursing student who had higher scores in RN-License Ex- amination review program tend to have higher score in RN-License Examination. (5)The scores in academic achievement and RN-License Examination review program where strongly predictors in predicting RN- License Examination scores.
