This research aims to explore the relationship between study of hospitality and tourism major students' Personality trait, internship involvement and internship efficiency in Taiwan. This study conducted a questionnaire survey. The samples of this research are hospitality and tourism major students having internship experiences. There were 500 questionnaires be distributed to staff, and 460 valid questionnaires were received, with a response rate of 92%. The descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were employed to test the research hypotheses. The results indicated that personality trait of the students has a partial influence on internship involvement and internship efficiency. The internship involvement influence positively on internship efficiency. Internship involvement has mediation effect on the relationship between personality trait, and internship efficiency. The author hopes that the research results could help academic educators and industry professionals to recommend changes that may further improve internship policies.
