With the development of the Orthodox Church research, the normalization of the Orthodox Church terminology becomes an urgent issue. Attentions have thus been drawn to the production of reference book. Russian-Chinese Dictionary of the Orthodox Church Vocabulary, edited by Rumyantseva Marina Vital'evna, a Russian sinologist and Chinese teacher at the School of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University, is the first dictionary in the field. In addition to detailed comments on vocabularies about the Orthodox Church rituals and practice, the dictionary has an outstanding editorial style. The publication of the dictionary is a great convenience for Chinese Orthodox Church researchers and Chinese Orthodox Christians. Certainly, there are still rooms for improvement. The dictionary should expand its vocabulary related to Orthodox theology, philosophy and culture. Moreover, the participation of Chinese experts is essential to make the dictionary more user-freindly to Chinese readers.
