桃竹苗地區客語次方言語言態度的研究

Speakers' Attitudes towards Hakka Sub-dialects in Tao-yuan, Hsin-chu, and Miao-li Counties

摘要

本文以問卷調查和統計的方式，討論台灣桃、竹、苗地區（分別代表三種說客語的類型），四縣客語和海陸客語語言態度的差異，項目包括：好聽、唱歌、吵架、柔軟，以及重等五種語言特質。結果發現了一些相似以及對比的有趣現象，本文嘗試提出「呈現自我，重己輕人」原則來解釋。

This paper, focusing on field work and statistics, deals with speakers' attitudes towards Hakka sub-dialects in Tao-yuan, Hsin-chu, and Miao-li counties all in Taiwan. Those surveyed were asked to describe sub-dialects with the following properties: pleasant sounding, sounding like a song, sounding like quarrelling, sounding soft, and sounding heavy. In this paper I offer the 'My way sounds the best' hypothesis to describe speakers' attitudes towards Hakka sub-dialects.
