The purpose of this qualitative case study is to understand the perception parents' participation in the affairs of junior high schools. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight parents in Taichung from October, 2016 to February, 2017. The results of this study are as follows: (1) long-term parental involvement in school affairs fosters better parent-child relationships, (2) parent-teacher partnerships create a win-win situation, and (3) parents' increased concern about the quality of education and the diversified development of children's abilities. Suggestions and theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
