摘要

佛光山總本山的建築命名相當特殊，體現了星雲大師建設人間佛教的道場的期許與願望，而佛光山建築命名，可略分成三大部分「佛光教育」、「佛在我心」、「人間佛陀」，內容依據主題的不同，分別探討人間佛教的六種性質，與星雲大師的人間佛教性格，經由對命名的探討，來窺見一代宗師弘法為教的風範。

The naming of architecture in the Fo Guang Shan monastery is distinctive and embodies the expectation and aspiration that Venerable Master Hsing Yun has for this Monastery of Humanistic Buddhism. The names of these architectures can be categorized into three areas; 1) Naming of Fo Guang Shan Educational related buildings, 2) Buildings that remind us of our Buddha Nature, and 3) Buildings that reflect the Humanism of the Buddha. Within these three categories, we will use seven different angles to look at the names of buildings in the Fo Guang Shan monastery (Six characteristic of Humanistic Buddhism and the selfless characteristic of Venerable Master Hsing Yun).
