摘要

本篇係參考國內外中英文有關圖書館館藏發展自民國八十年至八十五年發表於期刊之論文（依據圖書管理、館藏徵集、圖書選擇、合作館藏、圖書分類法）相關文章共五十九篇探討而爲。文中就中、英文圖書分類方法與本館之蒐藏方向，研擬出一套本館今後館藏發展計畫，採訪徵集策略和實施方式，並說明館藏蒐藏內容，指出一般館藏及核心主題館藏蒐藏政策。以此採訪計畫，原則，作爲未來本館制定館藏政策之依據暨提供各級圖書館館員發展館藏參考之工具。

A review (based on information presented in collection management, library acquisition, book selection, cooperative cllection and classification)of the esay on collection development published in the journals during the period of 1991 through 1996, identified 59 articles both in English and Chinese. Methods of classification incorporating the library collection of Taiwan Museum into the development programs are outlined, including the acquisition strategy and the need to implement stages. Key collection policy is identified and collection policy statement is included. The principles and practices of selection can be used as a tool to aid the librarians in developing future collection, and as a basis to help the library in making collection policy.
