In recent years, digital game design industry becomes the one of the most important industries. About the digital game design, how to combine the physical and virtual components in the digital game is the most important content. At the same time, how to foster students’ abilities of integrating physical and virtual components is considered as the important challenge in the digital game design course. The purpose of this study is to incorporate the concept of STEAM/Maker in the digital game design course and to support students developing virtual reality digital game. According to the result, students not only apply a variety of areas of knowledge through the lesson plans but also design and create the virtual reality bicycle game. The research results will be benefit for the development of game design course, and the scholar can design other studies according to the research results in the future.
