The early stages of development of Atrophaneura aristolochiae (Fabricius) (Papilionidae) were studied. A. aristolochiae laid eggs on leaves of Aristolochia indica and A. bracteata of the family Aristolochiaceae. The development of egg to adult required 40-42 days. First instar lasted for 2 days. Second and third instars lasted for 3 days each. Fourth instar lasted for 4 days. Fifth instar lasted for 6 to 7 days. Food consumption and utilization efficiencies of larvae were also studied.
本研究乃探討鳳蝶科的Atrophaneura aristolochiae(Fabricius)生長發育。
