两种解构的神话-对德里达的回应

A Tale of Two Deconstructions-On the Way to a Response to Derrida

並列摘要

In reviewing the Western metaphysical tradition, this paper shows that as Being is submerged, Western metaphysical endeavor must end in Nihilism. Many Western philosophers labored to extricate metaphysics from the mires of Nihilism. Both Heidegger and Derrida attempted to remove the metaphysical rubbles of the past to make way for a new path. The Heideggerian concept of "destruction" and the Derridean concept of "deconstruction" are contrasted. Such a contrast aims to show that Derrida's deconstruction, growing out of his analysis and critique of Husserl, Saussur and Heidegger, if pushed to its logical conclusion, would lead right back to Nihilism. In response to the desperate radicalism of Derrida, the author proposes a uniquely Chinese alternative--to reflect on Being and the existence of beings in the quiet mirror of kenosis.
