文化符碼的傳續、轉化與應用－以「中川政七」為例

「如何詮釋過去」，是塑造、改變、確立自我與群體認同時所必須面對的重要課題，經由歷史、語言以及文化資源的解讀來形成人與時空之間的多向對應，以作為建構認同的過程，文化符碼的確立可用以指涉人們如何感知群己關係與社會實踐。將富有地域或群體代表性的文化符碼帶入不斷改變的現代，使其能鏈結世代的傳承，並進一步應用在產業的轉型興發中，引領產業持續的發展，這是目前萃取城鄉文化元素以融入各式文創產業的模式之一。歷史悠長的「奈良晒」（ならざらし），為日本鹿都奈良所出產的高級麻布，展現了精湛複雜的麻織工藝，以販售「奈良晒」起家的「中川政七」，為奈良知名的在地老品牌，面對麻織產業衰退所帶來的經營困境，「中川政七」不僅沒有走上末路，反而一秉初心持續開發產製各類麻織物的日用雜貨，儼然成為日系生活雜貨首屈一指的代表品牌，本文即以「中川政七」的與時俱進作為研究主軸，由此探究文化符碼於變動之中的傳續、轉化與應用。從文創產業的發展脈絡來看，由中川淳領軍的「中川政七」創意團隊，是日本傳統文化的愛好者、推廣者和專家，善於萃取文化元素，活用文化符碼，所以能翻玩傳統延引新潮流，其創新進化的歷程彰顯了企業若沒有前瞻未來的願景，不足以久續的道理，凡此對在地文化的傳續及傳統工藝業者的轉型，皆有值得參酌借鏡之處。

＂How to interpret the past＂, is the important issue to face when shaping, changing and identifying the self and group. Multidirectional corresponding between people and space and time is formed through the interpretation of history, language, and culture resources as the firmly establishment of the process of constructing identity, cultural codes available to that how people perceive group relations and social practice. Cultural codes rich in regional or group representation are brought into the changing modern society so as to link the inheritance of generations, and further applied in the industrial transformation and development to lead the sustainable development of the industry. This is one of the current modes of various cultural and creative industries. Long-history ＂Nara Sarasi (ならざらし)＂ is high class linen produced by Nara, a Japanese deer city, showing the complex linen exquisite techniques, in which ＂Nakagawa Masashichi＂, is a well-known old local brand in Nara. In the face of the business dilemma brought by the decline of linen industry, ＂Nakagawa Masashichi＂ not only does not go to the end, but adheres to its original intention and continues to the development and the production of all kinds of linen daily groceries; now it become a leading representative brand of Japanese style grocery. This paper takes ＂Nakagawa Masashichi＂ advanced with times as the main research basis to explore the transmission, transformation and application of cultural codes in the process of change. From the perspective of the development process of cultural and creative industry, the ＂Nakagawa Masashichi＂ creative team led by Nakagawa Akira is a lover, promoter and expert of Japanese traditional culture. The team is good at extracting cultural elements and using cultural codes flexibly; therefore, it turns over the tradition and introduces a new trend. The process of innovation and evolution reflects that if an enterprise does not have a vision for the future, it is not sustainable. All of these are worthy of reference for the transmission of local culture and the transformation of traditional craftsmen.
