Scientific and technological innovation is the driving force of a country's development. Cultivating innovative spirit and practical ability is the requirement of contemporary education for undergraduate students and the primary goal of higher education reform. As an important reserve army for social construction and development, the cultivation of college students' innovation ability has a profound intention to strengthen the national independent innovation ability. This paper introduces the effect and implementation of the undergraduate tutorial system of agricultural water conservancy engineering on the cultivation of college students' innovative ability. Based on the experimental practice of undergraduate students participating in the tutorial system, this paper discusses the role of the undergraduate tutorial system in the cultivation of college students' innovative ability.
