On the Speech Genre of Movie Review--A Bakhtinian Model of Translinguistics

摘要

As the sub‐product of the movie, the movie review is a special discourse with its own features, features that are more or less influenced by the movie, which will be reflected in both the language and the genre of the discourse. A successful movie review should be both informative and promotional, which largely depends on how the reviewer writes the review. For discovering that how the reviewer succeeds in achieving this goal, this thesis aims to conduct a speech genre analysis on movie reviews based on a Bakhtinian model of translinguisitics.
