The proposal of core literacy poses new challenges to the current education reform. From the focus on "double foundation" to the implementation of "quality education" to the implementation of "core literacy", it reflects the changing trend of education reform. Chinese educators need to urgently think about how to implement core literacy in specific teaching work and effectively integrate with Chinese courses in primary and secondary schools. Through the interpretation of core literacy and Chinese core literacy, we can explore a new path for Chinese teaching in Chinese independent middle schools.
