Ideology and Education: A Fusion of Viewpoints on Ideology of P. Ricoeur, H. Alexander, and Shen-Keng Yang

The purpose of this paper is to interpret the concept of ＂ideology＂ concept and its implications for education in Taiwan through the perspectives of P. Ricoeur, H. Alexander, and Shen-Keng Yang. Therefore, this paper conducted the following investigations:(1) analyzed Ricoeur's discourse on ideology and the relevant concepts; (2) explored Alexander's interpretation and critique on the relevant theories of ideology; and (3) examined Shen-Keng Yang's discourse on ideology. Based on findings from the investigations mentioned above, this paper concludes by providing implications and suggestions for education.
