This article aims to study the history of the National Christian Service Council for Wounded Soldiers in Transit (NCSCWT) during the Sino- Japanese war, 1937-1945. It focuses on three aspects. (1) The need of wounded soldiers as the motivating factor of founding NCSCWT. (2) NCSCWT and the political struggle between Chinese National Government and Chinese Communist Party. In this struggle, NCSCWT was troubled by the infiltration of Chinese Communist Party, and the purge of Chinese National Government. (3) NCSCWT dramatically became an important partner of Chinese National Government again in the final stage of Sino- Japanese war.
