Planning Research Problems: Review and Prospects

This paper reviews the progress of planning research over the past 26 years, and looksbeyond the future directions of planning research from the perspective of complexity science. We argue that planning research has made significant progress from the qualitative and quantitative as well as scientific and philosophical points of view, and expect the birth of a more complete urban science within 10 years.
