Preliminary Study of Human Centered Design: Recovery of Sexual Assault Sur vivors

Through the MeToo movement emerges worldwide, sexual assault survivors have been encouraged to disclose their trauma experiences, uncovering tons of sexual assaults cases. However, there are still huge amounts of survivors terrified to tell their trauma experiences, leaving the recovery of sexual assault survivors an important issue that requires whole society to pay attention to. This research aimed at trauma recovery of sexual assault survivors from human-centered design's viewpoint with its design principles and design behaviors. It adopted the research method of textual analysis and utilized two confessions of sexual assault survivors as primary data. This research used grounded theory to collect and generate concepts so as to build a trau ma-recovery model, highlighting the participance of perpetrators as key points for survivors to step into the final recovery stage. The result has been an essential basis for related human-centered design or research in the future.
