偶戲的劇場運用及其戲劇隱喻之詮釋表示──以《來自星海的約定》為例

摘要


偶戲為一種生命創造的演出形概念,將無生命的物件,經由操作,做為創作者與觀賞者生命體驗的連結。創作者藉由生活的認知與事件的批判,透過戲偶的設計和演出,賦與偶戲生命活力;觀賞者經由記憶的連接與生命的感受,相信戲偶為真的生命展現,體會偶戲生命驚奇。《來自星海的約定》為台南大學戲劇創作與應用學系的學期製作,劇中運用人戲與偶戲跨界合作,呈現寫實與虛幻的戲劇氛圍。故事以傳統漁村的沒落與變遷為故事背景,敘述不同世代對家鄉的情感與記憶,面對不同的命運衝擊,思考家鄉的未來,因該何去何從。本文主要探討偶戲在《來自星海的約定》的跨界運用與創作概念。偶戲的表演形式,藉由物件、材料、光影等元素,建構偶戲在劇場中的運用與戲劇符號的隱喻。並以「超現實主義」(Surrealism)的視覺概論,經由操偶者(Puppeteer)的操作,賦與「偶」的生命力,以視覺概念為出發,重組視覺的戲劇感官,跳脫現實生活中的視覺規範,藉由物件的解構與建構,重新展現戲劇的創作概念,並呈現出特有的偶戲想像。

Puppetry is a conceptual process of life creation. With the operation of puppeteers, the lifeless objects become alive and it connects the experiences of audiences and the puppetry designers while the audiences embrace the lively performances of puppets that inspire their memories and emotions. "The promises from Hsin-Hai" was the semester production of Dept. of Applied Drama/Theater at National University of Tainan. It was a story about a waning traditional fishers' village facing challenges of the time, and the village fellows and family members from different generations expressed their different attitude and consideration to deal with problems and the future. In this paper, the theatric utilization and dramatic metaphor of puppetry with objects, materials and lights/shadows are discussed upon the theories of Surrealism. It is expected that such cross-field design would uplift and re-construct audiences' senses, imagination the visual experiences with the alternately use of puppetry on the stage along with actors and actress.
