ESD產業經營策略之研究—以A公司為例

摘要


電子科技日新月異,技術更新速度循著英特爾創辦人之一戈登.摩爾所提出來的摩爾定律(Moore’s law),約每十八個月,積體電路上的電晶體數量就會增加一倍。意味著電晶體工藝製程數量的增加,催促著更多的應用出現,舉凡各式消費性電子商品,如穿戴式裝置、無人智慧車、虛擬實境裝置…等,驅使著這個世界一直不斷地變化,甚至是跳躍式的改變人類的生活習慣及原有使用習慣;速度、效率、體積更小,更高階的需求應運而生。因此,電子元件的奈米尺寸微縮化與電子產品功能的細密化己成研發主要方向,然而,科學家們己逐漸發現電子設備裝置的無故損傷或失效之主要原因竟是來自靜電放電(Electro-Static Discharge;ESD)所造成,其結果輕者除了對電子元件本身造成損壞外,重者則可能造成財產及人員甚或毀滅性災難。因此,靜電所造成的危害範圍隨著工業與電子產業的發展亦隨之擴大。 面對全球產業環境的改變,台灣ESD廠商該如何因應全球性產業競爭威脅,建立新的競爭策略? 本研究以A公司為例,運用PEST、五力競爭分析產業環境所會遇到的機遇與挑戰,再運用價值鏈揭示了A公司本身所存在的優勢和劣勢,借此找出可做為A公司未來經營策略上之方針。 本研究僅限於個案企業之分析,自然會有許多主觀以及不足之處。然而在個案策略的研究中,提供了一個思考方向以及應對選擇,相信對於多數尤其在地的中小企業,甚至正在起步的創業者,會是一個很好的個案參考。

Electronic technology changes with each passing day. The frequency of semiconductor technique moves rapidly. According to the Moore's law, which is proposed by Gordon Moore, one of Intel's founders, the number of transistors on the integrated circuit doubles every eighteen months. This means that the growth of processing of transistors impels the birth of more applications, such as consumer electronics like wearable devices, smart cars, and virtual reality, etc., which drives the world been changing constantly, even changes people’s lifestyle and original use habits by leaps and bounds. Speedy, efficient, but size get smaller, higher-leveled needs come into being. Hence, the miniaturization of electronic components and the refinement of electronic product functionality have become the main directions of research and development. At the same time, scientists have also found gradually that the damages or failures happening for no reason on electronic device equipment are mainly from electrostatic discharge (Electro-Static Discharge; ESD). In addition to the damage to the component itself, the property and personnel may be injured because of the erroneous operation of the semiconductor device. Therefore, the scope of the hazard caused by electrostatic discharge should increase following the development of the industry. For ESD manufacturers in Taiwan, how to respond to such industry competition threat and then to establish the new competitive strategy when facing with the fierce globalization competition? Taking company A as example, this study would use PEST, Five Forces analysis to research the opportunities and challenges that the industrial environment will encounter. Then will try to use the value chain to reveal the advantages and weaknesses the case is facing to, thereby to find out four points to be the company's business strategy for future development. As this study is limited to the analysis of case companies, there will be many subjective and shortcomings happened. However, in the study of case strategy, it provides a model of thinking and also a choice of response, believe it would be a good case reference for most of the small and medium enterprises, and even the entrepreneurs who just start their business.
