成功銀行的創新經營模式-對華人銀行經營的啟發

摘要


近年來國內金融改革的號角吹起,除了國內銀行致力於呆帳的打消與財務結構的建全化與透明化外,更讓整體金融相關產官學界所關心的,便是如何在金融逐漸走向全球化競爭的趨勢下,取得足夠的競爭優勢,成為成功的金融機構。側觀,當國內銀行業者與大型金控的異業合併,除了資產規模變大(too big to fail)及組織上多了金融控股母公司外,各子公司似乎也是一如往昔的獨自運作。 本篇論文的主要研究方向,便是希望以邏輯性的驗證方式,闡述如何有效提升股東的價值,成為成功的銀行。同時,也希望藉由國外成功銀行的研究中,剝離出成功銀行的基本要件,進一步驗證台灣銀行經營者追求成功策略的可行性,並做為銀行經營者在採取策略行動(Strategic Move)時的參考。依造研究的成果,銀行要達到成功,幾個基礎要件是要建立的:首先是對環境變遷下的機會與威脅有靈敏的觀察;其次是要有創新思維與做法,建立明確的商業模式及經營理念;最後則是要定義出自己專注的領域。這與國內全方位式的異業合併,在非專長領域期望建立範疇經濟綜效的模式,有著明顯的差異。 事實上,有許多議題值得銀行經營業者進一步深入的思索,包括:究竟什麼樣的銀行才是成功的銀行(what,如何定義成功的銀行);成為一個成功銀行的基本要件為何,該培養什麼樣的競爭優勢(Key Successful Factor)才能具備成功的基本要件;用什麼樣的方法及策略(Action & Strategy)去建立這些成功的要件。希望本論文能提供銀行經營者,提升銀行的競爭力,使銀行更有經營價值。

The Financial Reform has attracted much public attention during recent years. In addition to the efforts of local banks on writing off bad debts and enhancing the health and transparency of their financial structure, what is more to the concern of the relevant academic community as well as the industry and the government is how a financial institution can gain the competitive advantage required in the face of increasing global competition and becomes successful. However, mergers between different types of financial institutions seem to have only led to an increase in size that may be too big to fail and a new layer on the existing organizational structure, a parent holding company; individual subsidiaries seem to continue to operate independently as before. The direction of the research in this thesis is to elaborate on how to enhance the value for shareholders and to become a successful bank through a logical examination. In addition, hope to extract the basic factors of a successful bank by studying successful international banks and further examine the feasibility for local banks’ strategy to pursue success for the reference of local banks when they are making their strategic moves. Based on the results of study, for a bank to achieve success, there are several important factors: The first is the sensitivity to the opportunities and threats in a changing environment. The second is the innovative thinking and deeds for building a clear business model and business philosophy. The last is to define and concentrate on its own specialized area, which is quite different from the mergers of local financial institutions which are rather loosely organized and which attempt to establish a scope economy and synergy in areas they do not specialize in. In fact, there are many issues which demand more consideration from local banks. These include: what constitute a successful bank (how to define it)? How are the Key Successful Factors for a successful bank? How to establish these Key Successful Factors? It is hope that this thesis can provide some ideas for these questions.
