基於體素模型下建築空間生成之研究

摘要


進入資訊時代後,隨著數位技術的進步,計算機應用已經滲透到各個領域。對於建築而言,計算機不僅帶來了效率的提升,對於材料、工法與設計思考都產生了深遠的影響。面對新時代的來臨,建築發展的潛能是一個值得探究的問題。因此,本論文的主要目的是探究在計算機輔助下建築設計方法的可能性。 體素是三維的體積像素,類似與二維的像素概念,是數位資訊空間中最小的單位,本研究將這一概念引申至建築空間中,藉助數位工具的輔助,建立一套從體素模型發展至建築空間的系統程序。在這一程序中,將體素作為建築資訊的存儲空間,建築空間分解為各項元素組成,以體素模型作為基礎框架,形成各個不同的系統,依靠系統之間不同的關係而組構形成建築空間。 在本論文的主要設計操作內容中,將體素的概念結合數位設計工具,透過細胞自動機等演算法進行體素模型的形態找尋,並以體素模型為基礎,將建築元素作為參數探究建築空間的形成。同時,藉助Honeybee和Ladybug進行建築的物理環境分析,整合建築功能。最後以辦公建築作為類型學研究的對象,發展一系列以體素為原型生成建築空間的程序系統。 通過程序的設計操作,一方面是探索當以資訊的觀點看待建築時,所生成的建築空間的多樣性,更重要的是在於對建築設計方法的重新思考。傳統設計方法是從上至下的單一思維方式,而在數位設計中,常常會以自下而上的思維進行思考。本論文運用兩種不同思維方式的設計操作,通過生成結果對其思考方式進行比較研究,回應計算機輔助下對建築設計方法的影響探究。

After entering the information age, the application of computers has penetrated into various fields with the progress of digital technologies. For architecture, computers do not only bring efficiency improvements but also have a profound impact on materials, engineering and design thinking. Facing the coming of the new era, the potential of digital architectural development is a problem that worth to be explored. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is to explore the possibilities of architectural design method with the aid of the computer. Similar to the two-dimensional pixel concept, the voxel is a three-dimensional volume pixel as well as the smallest unit in the digital information space. This study extends this concept to the architectural space with the aid of digital tools to establish a set of computer programs from the voxel model to the architectural space. In this procedure, the voxel as the storage space of architectural information, the architectural space is deconstructed into the composition of various elements. With the voxel model as the basic framework, forming different systems, relying on the different relationships between the systems and group ingested the building space. In the main design operation content of this research, the concept of the voxel is combined with digital design tools, and the morphological search of the voxel model is carried out through algorithms such as cellular automata. Based on the voxel model, the architectural elements as parameters to explore the formation of architectural space. At the same time, Honeybee and Ladybug are used to analyze the physical environment of the building and integrate the building functions. Finally, taking the office building as the typology research object, we develop a series of computer programs to generate the architectural space based on the voxel. Through the design and operation of the programs, it explores the diversity of the architectural space generated when the architecture is viewed from the perspective of information. More importantly, it lies in the rethinking of architectural design methods. The traditional design method is a Top-Down way of thinking, but in digital design, it is often Bottom-Up thinking. This research uses two different ways of design thinking to reflect the impact of computer-aided architectural design methods through the generation of results which the comparative study on their way of thinking.
