補充海洋深層水對延緩卵巢去除大白鼠之骨質疏鬆的功效評估

摘要


隨著高齡人口的增加和生活型態的改變,骨質疏鬆症已是國內的重要流行病。而中老年婦女在進入更年期後,會因體內雌激素(estrogen)分泌減少,加速骨質的流失,因而增加骨質疏鬆症的罹患風險。 大白鼠雙側卵巢切除手術(ovariectomy;OVX)之方法是一種適合模擬中老年婦女停經後骨質疏鬆的動物模型,藉此使得雌激素減少,蝕骨細胞的活性增加,加快骨質疏鬆症的發生。海洋深層水(Deep Ocean Water DOW)含有高含量的礦物質,以及許多微量元素,能幫助並補充身體代謝運作所需的元素。有文獻指出海洋深層水中的鎂離子,可以幫助傷口癒合速度。也可藉由改善人體內的礦物質平衡,來緩解過敏性濕疹症狀或皮膚炎。故本實驗的目的是探討雙側卵巢去除大白鼠,給予含高鎂離子的海洋深層水以及是否合併鈣保健品,對於骨質疏鬆延緩的效果。大白鼠經由手術將雙側卵巢去除後,分別以不同劑量Deep Ocean Water (0.35mL、0.7mL、1.4mL)及加入calcium citrate來餵食大鼠,連續給予八週。結果發現,大白鼠的骨代謝活性減少、血中ALP降低、增加骨小樑厚度、及骨髓內脂肪細胞的量與大小均減少。結果顯示DOW對骨質疏鬆具有延緩的作用。

The human life expectancy due to the population of elderly people and lifestyle has led to a dramatic increasing incidence and prevalence of osteoporosis recently.The elderly women entering menopause, due to the body estrogen decreased secretion, accelerate the loss of bone, thus increasing the risk of osteoporosis.The method of bilateral ovariectomy (OVX) in rats is a suitable animal model for simulating postmenopausal osteoporosis in middle-aged and elderly women, so as to reduce estrogen and increase the activity of osteoclasts, and accelerate the occurrence of osteoporosis. Deep Ocean Water contains high levels of minerals, as well as many trace elements that help and complement the body's metabolic processes. There are literatures that point out that the magnesium ions in deep ocean water can help wound healing. Allergic eczema symptoms or dermatitis may also be alleviated by improving the mineral balance in the body. Therefore, the purpose of this experiment is to explore bilateral ovarian removal rats, giving high magnesium ion in the marine deep water and whether the combination of calcium health products, the effect of delayed osteoporosis. After bilateral ovaries were surgically removed, rats were administered with Deep Ocean Water (0.35mL,0.7mL,1.4mL) and calcium citrate at different doses for eight weeks. The results showed that the decrease of bone metabolic activity, the decrease of ALP in blood, the increase of trabecular thickness and the decrease of the amount and size of adipocytes in bone marrow were observed. The results show that DOW has a delaying effect on osteoporosis.
